Ecotone Sanctuary
Ecotone Sanctuary is a unique permaculture-food-forest sanctuary on the Big Island of Hawai'i where we host personal & small group retreats for health & wellness. This safe, supportive, peaceful, and plant-rich environment is designed and maintained with therapeutic and ecological design principles.
This is also the setting for Tada Dalotto, HTR's horticultural therapy practice.
Come join us on the edge of a Hawaii State forest, under one of the clearest, darkest, and most star-filled night skies on Earth, for a 4-minute walk to the Pacific Ocean.
We Offer:

*We are not a vacation rental venue. Our guests stay here only to pursue personal therapeutic goals in this supportive plant-rich environment.

Ecotone Sanctuary News
We are currently developing the property by removing invasive species; planting native plants, canoe plants, edibles, medicinals, and other pono (with integrity, balance, and harmony) plants; building trails, preparing guest accommodations, and creating the ideal setting for health & wellness retreats and horticultural therapy services.
If you are interested in being part of this exciting site development project, we currently offer work-trades for hands-on learning & experience of therapeutic/ecological landscaping and plant science. Contact us if you're interested!
